Thousands of visitors come to the Gulf Coast Museum of Art to view its collection of contemporary Florida art and American fine crafts from the Southeastern United States nestled within one hundred eighty-two acres at Pinewood Cultural Park in Largo, Florida.
The Museum must rely on the generosity of its friends and supporters to meet the costs of operating the Museum and providing quality programs and services to its over 65,000 visitors each year.
Your generous support is critical and can be directed to various needs:
Funding for a variety of educational programs
Free admission annually for visiting elementary and middle school children
Underwriting for special exhibitions and exhibition catalogues
Acquisition and conservation of our art collection for future generations to enjoy
Unrestricted support of the Museum’s general operating fund
Gifts to the endowment
The Gulf Coast Museum of Art receives 3.5% of its $1.1 million annual gross operating budget through state and municipal funding. Memberships, fundraising events, endowments, admissions, Museum Store revenue, donor and corporate support and annual giving provide the remainder. As governmental funds become scarcer every year, the role of the patron becomes more important than ever in securing the future of the Gulf Coast Museum of Art.
